Or buonasera actually, since it’s 8pm here. I am in the beautiful city of Florence, and wanted to stop by for a quick hello. I know, I know, I shouldn’t be blogging on my honeymoon, but I’m going to make it quick.
I’ve been married for a week now and it’s been beyond amazing. The wedding was everything that I could have hoped for, but I won’t be talking about that until we have the official pictures back. But I would like to send a huge thank you to everyone involved who helped make our special day possible – our families and friends (especially my bff and maid of honor, Hilary, who helped keep me sane), and our amazing vendors – especially our fantastic DJ, Tim Martello, and our incredible photographers: Jesse and Whitney of Our Labor of Love. We LOVED them!!!
There are no words for how wonderful Italy has been. I have eaten my weight in cheese, pasta, pizza, and gelato. Oh… the gelato. Rome was spectacular; Florence is enchanting. Monday afternoon we’re headed to Siena for the rest of the week before we fly home next weekend. Everyone has been so friendly – and so patient with our broken Italian, I should add. I’ve done a little bit of traveling in my life, but Italy is so far the most wonderful place I’ve ever been. We made sure to throw a coin in Trevi Fountain in Rome and rub the snout of the little pig (Il Porcellino) in Florence, so we’re assured a trip back again one day.
I’ll have a full recap of our beautiful honeymoon after we return, but here are a few of my favorite photographs so far. I can’t wait to see what Siena has in store for us!
