This afternoon I got to shoot in one of my all time favorite locations in New York City: Long Island City and Gantry Plaza State Park. Long Island City is one of the few places outside of Manhattan that I would want to live in New York City. It is an amazing neighborhood full of fabulous restaurants and gorgeous apartments. The view of Manhattan from Gantry Plaza State Park is unbelievable.
I met up with Jolynn and Rob at a wonderful little cafe on Vernon Boulevard. From there we wandered around the neighborhood, stopping in front of interesting walls and doors to take pictures, and then made our way down to the park for some seriously gorgeous photographs in front of the Manhattan skyline. I know I constantly rave about how awesome my clients are, but I can’t help it… I don’t think I’ve ever had clients I didn’t adore, and Jolynn and Rob were no exception. They were completely natural in front of the camera, and I enjoyed getting to know them and hearing all about their wedding in New Mexico next year. Here is a little sneak peek from their session today, with a longer post to follow in a few days.
