Last week I gave you a little preview of the fun family session I did in Connecticut on Halloween, and now I’m back with a bigger peek at this lovely family’s portraits!
As you know, if you’ve been reading my blog, fall is my favorite time of year, and my favorite time for any kind of portrait session. Vibrant colors, cozy sweaters… fall photographs feel so nostalgic to me, so homey. When I arrived in Connecticut for this session, the family pointed out their giant pile of leaves and I wanted to dance with excitement – kids running and jumping in leaves?!? Uh… could anything possibly be cuter??! The photographs I have of the boys playing in the leaves are some of my favorites that I’ve ever taken. They just radiate the joy of childhood, and take me back to when I was a kid jumping in leaves. Was there anything more fun in the fall?
After a few family portraits, the kids put on their baseball uniforms and played a quick round of baseball with their dad. It was so cool hearing them talk about baseball – they clearly have a passion for it. They shared all the stats and facts they knew with me. All in all, I had a great time! I love it when my clients return… it’s so cool to see how everyone has changed in the last year. Also – how ridiculously gorgeous is the light in these photographs?! I am crazy for a little sun flare. Here are my favorite images from their session:
