I feel like I post a lot of cat pictures on my blog, but what can I say… I know a lot of awesome cats.
Last Monday I went to my friend Lori’s house for lunch. Lori and I used to work at the Humane Society of New York together, back in my 9 to 5 days. Our desks were side by side, and behind us was a room full of cats, waiting to be adopted. On our breaks, we would go play with the cats. (Nothing relieves stress like playing with a kitten. Seriously.) We each had our favorites, and Lori immediately bonded with this giant tom cat named Eduardo who didn’t really get along with the other cats. After a few months, Lori decided to adopt Eduardo. She took him home and renamed him Liam – a name much more befitting of his regal stature. And that was that. They’ve lived happily together ever since.
I always mean to take my camera over to Lori’s when I visit, and I always forget, but on this trip I finally remembered. I’ve been wanting to take pictures of Liam for years, and I finally got the chance. Isn’t he just the handsomest? As soon as I pulled out my camera, he jumped on a stool and began posing. He certainly knew how to work the camera.
