This is probably going to sound made up, but it’s completely true. I just wish I had the photographic proof. When I was walking to meet Rebecca, Timothy, and their lovely son Cooper at City Hall last week, there was a huge rainbow over Foley Square, right in front of the Marriage Bureau. I don’t know where it came from – it wasn’t rainy or cloudy. Infact it was blindingly sunny that day and beautiful. But there it was, stretching across the square, so bright and fake looking that I actually stopped in my tracks to stare at it. Definitely a good sign.
Rebecca and Timothy had come all the way from Australia to get married in New York City, and they could not have been more excited. City Hall was mostly empty that morning, and they were called right in to be married. (A first in my experience!) Cooper served as ring bearer and best man, and the whole thing was just completely joyful. Afterward, we headed to some iconic New York City locations for portraits. I wanted everything to feel larger than life in the photographs… just completely New York City, and I am kind of crazy about the results. I love the city vibe we captured in their photographs. And can I just say… how gorgeous is this family!?
I had such a wonderful afternoon with this fantastic family, and I wish them so much happiness in their new marriage!
