Vacation & Beach Reads || New York City Photographer

You’re probably wondering why I’ve been so quiet this week. It’s because I’ve been working like a madwoman trying to finish a million things before I leave town for a week for a vacation! John and I are headed to the Outer Banks on Saturday morning with his siblings and dad for a nice, long break. I’ve spent a lot of family vacations on the Outer Banks, but John has never been, so I’m excited to show him all my favorite places on the islands.

Needless to say, blogging will be scarce next week, since I don’t know what the internet situation will be on the Outer Banks.

I’m looking forward to catching up on my reading, and I’m looking for suggestions! I like both fiction and non-fiction, especially really engrossing history books. So if there’s something you read recently that you just couldn’t put down – recommend away! I want to load up my Nook with lots of good stuff.

  • I read Provenance a bit ago and loved it. It’s a great true story of an artist, forgery and a con man.

    Have a great vacation!

I just finished People of the Book, by Geraldine Brooks and it is loosely based on a true story with lots of history. It started off slow but became very engrossing by the end.
