Lizzy & Jesse were a very last minute booking for me, which is pretty rare. Rare that I happened to have that particular Sunday off during the busy season, and rare because I’m booking eight to fourteen months in advance right now for most of my weddings. I’m so happy it all worked out because Lizzy & Jesse were such a dream to work with and their wedding was pretty spectacular.
I got to go to the Hamptons for the first time ever for their wedding, and it was just as lovely as I’d imagined it would be. Westhampton is incredibly beautiful, and though the weather was a bit gray and misty, it created beautiful light to work with. They were married at the Westhampton Yacht Squadron, right on the lawn, overlooking the water. When they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone cheered and bubbles filled the air. It was magical.
Their reception was full of laughter and music – these two are clearly very loved people. So many of their friends and family got up to toast them, and Lizzy’s father pulled out his guitar to play music and sing for everyone which was amazing. As the sun began to set, the clouds drifted off and it ended up being a gorgeous evening for a party.
HUGE thank you to my amazing second shooter, Jon Lemon – who you’ll be hearing more about very soon!
Lizzy & Jesse, you are two genuinely wonderful people, and I am so happy I was able to be a part of your wedding.
