My friend Alethea and I met via Twitter a little over two years ago. I was looking for someone to take some new headshots of me, and she was looking for someone to take some family portraits – and voila… a grand tradition of portrait session exchanges was born. Over the past two years we’ve photographed each other’s families and traded headshots many times. And I have watched her amazing business – NestingNYC – grow and grow. And now her family is growing! The family will be welcoming a new member in about three weeks!
Yesterday Alethea and I headed out to the High Line to take some maternity portraits, and I am so thrilled with how they turned out. It has been shockingly warm all month – not a typical New York City December at all – and we were definitely grateful, considering the last time we did a portrait session in early December (last year) it was only about 30 degrees! Here is just a small sneak peek – much more to come!
