Alison & James (and their sweet son Ewan) had an incredibly lovely wedding one morning in September. Although it threatened rain all day, the only time it actually rained was while we were inside the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. When we emerged we were met with gorgeous diffused light, so we headed to the Brooklyn Bridge and then up to Central Park to take advantage of it.
Alison had sent me photographs from her parents’ wedding, as well as James’ parents’ wedding. They were these beautiful, classic photographs – images that captured the essence of their love and weddings so perfectly. Alison was hoping we’d end up with something similar – something that her son could look back on one day… an iconic photograph of his parents’ love. I looked at the photographs she sent me for a long time – it was a lot to live up to, and I hoped that I could… that I did.
Alison & James were a total joy to work with… easy to talk to, easy to laugh. Genuinely happy and fun. It was such a perfect, relaxed day, walking around downtown and then the park. They had incredible style, and I love what we created together. Alison & James, thank you both for everything – especially the sweet gift you sent afterward!
