This is going to be a long one, fair warning. Jasmine & Aloysius are really special people, and I feel so lucky to not just call them clients, but friends. They are two of the sweetest, most open-hearted people I’ve ever met. And they’re pretty much perfect for each other. They were married in September at the beautiful Waterview Club in Long Island, and it was a perfect day. During our first meeting, Jasmine told me they were very close to their families, and that family portraits were incredibly important to her. When I walked into her hotel room that Sunday morning, I immediately saw why. She was surrounded by her family, and they could not have been more lovely. Everyone from her sister to her parents and grandma were so warm and welcoming – I felt completely at ease around everyone, and had a fantastic time getting to know them all over the course of the day.
One thing that really stuck with me from this wedding was the speech Aloysius gave during the reception. He said people kept asking him if he was nervous that morning. He said, of course he wasn’t nervous – he’d never been more sure of anything in his life. I thought that was such a beautiful thing to say – and judging from how calm and happy he seemed all day, I definitely believe it.
Jasmine & Aloysius, you know how much I adore you guys. Working with you two was such a joyful experience for me; thank you for your kindness, your laughter, and for making my job so easy by being so darn gorgeous! xo
(P.S. Jasmine is also a wedding photographer, and she’s amazing!)
