I say it over and over… and you’re all sick of hearing it by now, but I’m going to say it again anyway. I don’t brag about much, but I have to brag on my clients. They are seriously awesome. All of them. Without fail. I have no idea what shining star I was born under to be able to work with people I adore week after week, day after day. Some of you probably think I’m lying, think I cannot love my clients this much, be this lucky. But I’m not, I do, I am. Elopements = no drama, baby. Well… that’s not entirely true. There was a whole lot of drama at Nicole & Chris’ elopement – but it was theatrical in nature.
Nicole & Chris are actors from Ottawa who traveled to New York City to elope, and we had a blast together. They were hilarious, expressive, and very much in love. They also had an abundance of style – Nicole’s blue dress was so fantastic. After their sweet City Hall ceremony, we were off for portraits – first to the Brooklyn Bridge and then Grand Central Station. We finished the afternoon at the Oyster Bar in Grand Central, where they generously shared an oyster with me and Chris took a hilarious photograph of me eating it that will never see the light of day. ;-)
When I come home after photographing an elopement as amazing as Nicole & Chris’, I am so confident in the path I have chosen for myself. This is where my heart is – these perfect, intimate elopements. These people who come from all over the world to the city I love, who are having this grand adventure together. And I get to photograph a slice of it. It’s a responsibility that weighs so heavy on me, and one I have been so grateful for. Nicole & Chris – thank you both for being so lovely in every way! Congratulations!
