I photographed the lovely Rita & Neil in December, on the High Line and at Grand Central Station. Rita & Neil wanted to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary with a portrait session. I am always delighted when married couples contact me for portraits – I don’t think portraits should be reserved for the newly engaged only – I think it’s important to capture your love in all its stages and incarnations. (And I’ll be following my own advice this spring, when John and I hop in front of the camera again. Sorry, John. It’s happening. ;-))
Rita & Neil were committed to getting gorgeous photographs – even though the temperature dropped below 25 degrees and the wind was blowing like crazy. I was bundled up in about ten layers, so I cannot even imagine how cold Rita was in her gorgeous dress. She is clearly superhuman. It was – by far – the coldest portrait session I’ve photographed this winter. Rita & Neil – you two are absolutely amazing in every way, and I had such a fantastic time with you both.
