We’re baaaaaaack! John and I just got back last night after a fantastic – but exhausting – week in California. I documented most of my trip on Instagram, so if you follow me on there, I’m sure you already know about my adventures. I actually only pulled out my real camera on one day – Friday – when we spent the day with my friend Allison and her husband, Fred. They very kindly played tour guide and we went to some amazing places that we probably wouldn’t have otherwise – like Clarion Alley and Crissy Field.
This year we rented an apartment in the Castro using AirBNB, and I can’t recommend it enough. We had such an awesome experience. The apartment was gorgeous, convenient, and in one of the most amazing neighborhoods in San Francisco. Highlights: Gracias Madre, riding the street car, Alcatraz, burritos in the Mission, In & Out burger, ice cream from Bi-Rite Creamery, Delores Park, dinner at Alexander’s Steakhouse (do you think it’s a problem that my favorite things revolve around food?), and shopping on Valencia. I love that every time I go to San Francisco it’s a completely different experience.
And now I have to go shoot a wedding on Top of the Rock! So I leave you with some photos from my trip.
(P.S. I will be catching up on the approximately 8 billion emails I received while I was away this evening, after today’s wedding! So keep an eye out later tonight if you’re expecting to hear from me.)
