Amy & Mike picked the perfect time to get married in April, when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the weather was just perfect. They were married on a Friday afternoon, and City Hall was absolutely packed. Luckily their friends agreed to keep an eye on when their number was coming up, so we could go outside for portraits and make the most of our time together. The funny thing is – while I was so focused on having enough time for portraits since it was so busy that day – I didn’t realize I had taken some of my all-time favorite candid photographs until I got home and sifted through them. There’s something about this wedding that I just LOVE, and not to pick favorites, but it really is one of my favorites of all the elopements I’ve ever photographed.
I think a huge part of why I’m so enamored with this wedding is probably because of how awesome Amy & Mike are. Mike is one of the most hilarious people I’ve ever met, and Amy is just so incredibly kind hearted and sweet. Their personalities compliment each other so well. Amy & Mike – thank you both for letting me be so creative, for making me laugh all day long, and for just being the lovely, genuine people you are!
