Friday afternoon I headed up to Connecticut for the weekend to photograph the rehearsal and wedding of the lovely Heather & Scott. I had really been looking forward to this one for a myriad of reasons: The Branford House is a venue I have been dying to photograph for YEARS; I couldn’t wait to see how all the details Heather had created came together; and most of all – I just love Heather & Scott, and I couldn’t wait to hang out with them again.
Their rehearsal was at the beautiful Bee & Thistle Inn on Friday night, and Saturday morning we were all up bright and early for Heather & Scott’s morning wedding. Everything about their day was so completely different from every other wedding I’ve ever photographed – from their unique and intensely personal ceremony to Heather’s intricate updo, and Scott and the groomsmen’s canes that turned into SWORDS. Yes. Swords. I just loved everything about this wedding.
Heather & Scott, thank you for everything. Working with you two over the last year and a half has been so incredibly wonderful! I hope you have a beautiful honeymoon! Here’s a small sneak peek!
(The first two photographs are from their rehearsal dinner, and the rest are from the wedding itself.)
