There’s no point in keeping your goals and dreams a secret. They’ll never come true if you don’t actively take steps to make them happen. Even if it’s just the small step of whispering to the universe what you want, and seeing if anyone’s out there listening. It can’t hurt.
This sweet little business of mine… oh how it’s growing. Everyday I am more and more astonished. This niche I wasn’t even entirely sure I could make a living from… I had no idea how it would explode this year. The places it would take me. But the funny thing about accomplishing something huge is that it just makes you even more ambitious. And so the last few months I have been sitting around thinking… what next? Where do I take this business of elopement photography next? And of course – the answer was ridiculously obvious. The road. Duh.
Aside from friends/family/my cats… the two most important things in my life are photography and travel. And I have dreamed and dreamed of ways to bring them together. Travel photographer, right? I love travel photography, but it is not for me. Elopements have my heart. And I want to photograph YOURS. Whether it’s here in New York City or across the sea. I want to go to whatever magical destination you are having your elopement or intimate wedding. That is the big plan for 2013 and 2014. That is the next step for this business. I have a lot of ideas on how to make it happen, but I want to spend a lot of time on the road in the next few years, and I want to photograph ALL THE ELOPEMENTS.
I’ll literally go anywhere, but I’m putting out ten places that I’d like to photograph an elopement in by the end of 2014: The Canary Islands; Rome, Italy; Santorini, Greece; St. Petersburg, Russia; Nice, France; Paris, France; Montreal, Canada; Costa Rica; Juneau, Alaska; and Berlin, Germany.
So let’s do this. Help me take over the world.
