Roberta & Manuel were married in July on what I’m pretty sure was the hottest day of the year. So when the forecast came out and they told me they wanted to get started at 8am to beat the heat, I was definitely onboard. If they had decided to get married in the afternoon, I think we all would have melted that day.
These two traveled from their home in Ireland to elope privately in New York City, and despite the sweltering temps, it was pretty much a perfect day. We started off around Rockefeller Center, before heading downtown to City Hall, and I just adore the photographs we captured together. Especially the ones on the subway. But I think my very favorite moment was when we were coming out of the revolving doors at City Hall – Roberta & Manuel had exited separately, but Roberta insisted they go around again. Together. It was so funny, and I love the photographs from that moment.
Roberta’s dress was vintage, and she is seriously one of the most adorable brides I’ve ever photographed, I think! Manuel was quite dashing in his suit and tie. These two were absolutely made for each other, and I loved being a part of their elopement!
