Steve & Dawn traveled from the UK with their sweet daughter Phoebe to marry at the beautiful Shakespeare Garden in Central Park on a misty May afternoon. I met this awesome family at the Waldorf Astoria as they started off what would prove to be an incredible day. After a few photographs around the hotel, we were off to Central Park for the main event.

On top of all the excitement of the wedding, it was also Dawn’s birthday. I’d say getting married is a pretty great way to celebrate your birthday!

After the ceremony, we made stops at Top of the Rock and Grand Central Station for portraits, and I just had the best afternoon with this amazing family! Steve & Dawn are such incredibly genuine and lovely people, and I felt like I was spending the day with old friends. Their daughter was such a joy as well, and so patient throughout an afternoon of portrait taking. Seeing a family unite this way is really one of the very best things about my job!

Steve & Dawn (and Phoebe!) – thank you for being so wonderful in every way. I LOVE what we captured together, and I just adore all three of you as well!

I think the picture of Phoebe “floating” in the air between mom and dad might be my favorite picture on this blog!

Those pictures where the strangers are clapping as they walk by…! That was one of the best feelings about going out in our wedding attire after our wedding – even strangers are SO happy for you. Those pictures make my heart soar.

This is one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen. Their daughter, the daughter’s dress, the absolute JOY — how incredibly stunning. Congrats!
