Renee & Tarik are just genuine, good-hearted people in every way. These two traveled from New Zealand to elope at City Hall in September, and I had such an amazing day with them. I started the day with them as they got ready in the gorgeous Brooklyn apartment they had rented while staying in New York. Two of their best friends had flown in from San Francisco for the occasion, and the champagne was already flowing when I arrived.
After a few quick portraits on their Brooklyn street, we were off to City Hall, where they were married by my very favorite officiant. Then it was time for portraits, with stops at Grand Central Station and Central Park. Unfortunately, just as we arrived at Gapstow Bridge in the park, the sky opened up and we were caught in an absolute downpour. Luckily these two were troopers and we continued to get the portraits we came for despite the rain. As I was about to finish up and say goodbye, Renee & Tarik kidnapped me and insisted I go out for a glass of champagne with them to Winston’s Champagne Bar. The perfect end to a perfect day! Renee & Tarik – thank you both for everything, especially the lovely gifts you brought from me from New Zealand! Wishing you so much happiness!
