Grace & Lee were my very last wedding of 2012, and I couldn’t have ended the year with a better couple. Though these two were married on December 18th, it might as well have been a spring day – it was unseasonably warm and sunshiny. Just perfect in every way.
Grace & Lee had traveled from Australia, and I was so excited to finally meet them in person. I started the day at their hotel as they got ready together – the always awesome Cari Duprey on hand for hair and make-up. They were both so easy to talk to and were both very relaxed. I think one of my very favorite moments from the day was when Grace helped Lee with his tie just before we left. After a little sparkling cider, we were off to Central Park. We spent some time taking portraits before heading over to Wagner Cover for the main event. Their ceremony was just lovely, and the light that afternoon was unbelievable. It just created a halo around the two of them – it was the stuff photography dreams are made of. After the ceremony was over, we headed off to take some portraits on the Upper West Side, to get a real New York City vibe to the photographs, and I love what we captured together.
Grace & Lee – thank you both for being so wonderful in every way. I just adored working with you guys, and I wish you so much love in your new marriage!
