Brooke & Melissa were married the week after Thanksgiving on a gorgeous, but rather cold, evening. I met them as they got ready together at The Nolitan – with the always amazing Cari Duprey on hand for hair and make-up. I love it when couples get ready together; it just makes the whole day a little more laid back. These two had so many sweet details – from their shoes and rings to the lovely “I’m Her Mrs.” signs that they brought along. Brooke & Melissa were definitely two of the most fashionable brides I’ve ever had!
After they were dressed and ready, we headed out to catch a train to Grand Central Station for their ceremony. We met Judie Guild and found a quiet spot in a side hallway for the ceremony, and it was just perfect. By the end a pretty size-able crowd had gathered to watch, and the hall erupted in applause! And then it was time for portraits! We had planned to take some photographs in Grand Central Station, Central Park, and the High Line, but we lost the light a little bit while we were still in Central Park, so I actually took them up to a roof I know of for some nighttime city shots. Brooke & Melissa were such troopers, because it was absolutely freezing. My only direction to them was to simply huddle together for warmth! But I love the results!
Brooke & Melissa – thank you so much for everything! Wishing you so much love!
