Carrie contacted me last year right after I’d decided to stop photographing larger events and focus on intimate elopements of about ten people or less. (Which has recently gone down to five people or less.) Although her wedding was not large at all – around 25 people – it was still a little more than what was becoming normal for me. However, the more Carrie told me about her and Brent, and their wedding day, I quickly realized it was something I really really wanted to be a part of, and I am so grateful I was!
Carrie & Brent were married at Bethesda Terrace last fall, and had their reception at the incredible City Winery. It poured buckets all morning and all afternoon, until literally the moment we left to go meet Brent in the park. The timing was just perfect. After their beautiful ceremony, I stole Carrie & Brent for portraits for a little while before they had to meet everyone at City Winery. The sun came out and we had the most beautiful, golden light as we headed down to the High Line to take photographs. And then it was time to party!
Carrie & Brent – being a part of your day was truly a wonderful experience for me. You two are the best! Thanks for everything!
