Nelleke & Boris were such a delight to work with in every way. These two traveled to New York City from The Netherlands to elope after eight years together, and we had such a wonderful day. I met them at their hotel, and on our way down the ceremony site, they realized they’d forgotten the rings. Instead of trying to rush back, they decided they’d use Nelleke’s engagement ring as hers, and make a ring out of a leaf for Boris. It worked surprisingly well and ended up being such a sweet, unexpected detail of the day.
After the ceremony, we walked through Lower Manhattan toward South Street Seaport. The original plan for their wedding day had involved these two sailing off into the sunset on a sailboat, but the water was incredibly choppy that day, so the plan was nixed. Instead I walked these two over to the Lower Manhattan Heliport where they hopped on a helicopter for a tour of Manhattan. I’d say that’s almost as good as sailing off into the sunset!
Nelleke & Boris – I adored working with you two! Thank you for everything!
