Megan & Ryan traveled from Australia to elope, and I had the most wonderful afternoon with them. Clouds starting rolling in early yesterday afternoon, which always makes me happy. There is something about New York City wrapped in clouds that I just love in photographs – it sets the scene like nothing else. I met them at their hotel near Grand Central Station, and when I saw Megan’s dress, I was so blown away. I have photographed some amazing dresses, but this is definitely one of my all time favorites!
After they finished getting ready, we headed off to Central Park for their ceremony at Gapstow Bridge – officiated by Judie Guild. Afterwards we headed down to South Street Seaport, as Megan & Ryan had mentioned they would love to capture water in their photographs. I’m always partial to shooting weddings down there, as that’s where my wedding was! All along the way, I just enjoyed hanging out with Megan & Ryan – I don’t think these two ever stopped smiling. They were so laid back despite everything running late due to typical New York City traffic and the impossibility of finding a cab in the rain. I adore the photographs we ended up with, but even more I adore these two. Megan & Ryan – thank you for being so awesome in every way! Have a fabulous time in Jamaica!
