This weekend I got to photograph my brother-in-law and soon to be sister-in-law’s engagement session. You may remember Marc & Jennifer from when I photographed their proposal last fall. I won’t photograph weddings for people I’m close to – because I want to attend them – but I absolutely love getting to photograph engagements. It makes me so happy that I can give this one, small thing to my close friends and family.
I had originally planned to rent out an apartment that I know of for their session that has floor to ceiling windows and one of the most incredible views of the Manhattan skyline. I’ve photographed there before, and since my goal with this session was what I’d call NYC glam, I figured it would be perfect. Unfortunately it was unavailable this weekend, and so we moved onto plan B, and I actually think the results we ended up with are even better than our original idea. We shot on Marc & Jen’s street, the roof of the New York Athletic Club, and finally at Lincoln Center. I can’t wait to share all the photos, because I am so thrilled with what we ended up with, but here’s a small sneak peek!
