This is the first year in a long time that I’ve had my weekends free, and it has been so wonderful. I promised myself when I transitioned from big weddings to elopements that I wouldn’t work more than one Saturday a month, and as it stands now, I only have two Saturdays the rest of the year I have to work. Compared with last year when I was never home on the weekends, it is an incredible change. I’ve been making plans and going on adventures and spending time with John. I am so grateful to be able to have a Monday to Friday wedding photographer career, and I know how rare and lucky that is.
This weekend I traveled out to Montauk to explore Montauk Point State Park with my friend Erin, and holy wow – it is so incredibly beautiful out there! I am now dying to shoot an elopement way out on the end of Long Island! Let’s make that happen, shall we?
