Sam & Paul traveled from the UK for their New York City elopement in December, and I had the most wonderful time with them. We met up in Central Park for their ceremony at a little spot overlooking Bow Bridge. It was actually a pretty nice day for December, and I think we were all relieved. Winter weddings can be so hit or miss, weather wise, but Sam & Paul definitely had good luck.
After their beautiful ceremony, we explored the park together, and these two made my job incredibly easy. I’m pretty sure they didn’t stop giggling together from the moment I met up with them until the end of the day. (They’re probably still off in the UK giggling together somewhere right now, I just know it!) All that happiness and laughter is reflected in every photo I have of the these two, and it was so much fun to get to document it.
Of course, no wedding day is complete without cupcakes, so we headed off to Chelsea to find some after our time in Central Park. It was a perfect end to a perfect day. Sam & Paul – thank you so much for everything, especially the little book you gave me! Wishing you two so much love!
(A little side note for my photographer friends: I did my first ever successful Brenizer Method with these two. It’s the very last photo at the bottom, and I have to say I was really pleased with the result, especially considering how complicated the background was. I’ve been trying to do one in every wedding for the last month or so, with mixed results, but I really liked this one. It’s a 16-image composite with the 105mm at 2.8.)
