Today I am so thrilled to announce the launch of a photography collective that I am incredibly honored to be a part of. Some of my best photography friends and I have launched a project called Western Light. The photographers involved are spread out across the Northern Hemisphere – from Alaska to California to Chicago to Scotland. Each week we will take a photo that is representative of our lives and the passing of time. Each Tuesday the blog will be updated with our shared photographs.
As a group of mainly wedding and portrait photographers, the project will help us push new artistic boundaries and require us to see the world with different eyes than we normally do. I am so excited to come together with such a talented group of women whose work I greatly admire and who I am lucky enough to call friends. I cannot wait to see where Western Light takes us, and I hope you will follow along. You can see our first round of photographs here, and make sure to check back each Tuesday for the next round of photographs. (And please take a second to like our Facebook page: Western Light.)
It feels so satisfying to photograph something completely different than my normal work, and I hope you’ll follow along with the project!
