John and I are incredibly thrilled to announce the birth of our beautiful, identical twin daughters, Beatrice Maxine and Vivienne Harper. They arrived just before 1pm on Halloween, and our lives were immediately turned upside down. We could not be happier or more in love with these two little ladies.

Both girls were healthy, but Beatrice needed a little extra help breathing, and so she ended up spending the first nine days of her life in the NICU. Today we were finally able to pick her up and bring her home to join Vivienne! We wanted to wait to officially announce their arrival once we were all reunited.

I think for the most part we’re planning on keeping photos of the girls off social media, but I did want to share a photo and announce their arrival here, because so many of you have been cheering us on and sent so many kind emails/comments/messages since I’ve been pregnant. My family and I are incredibly grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us, especially from our friends, family, and my clients. (And if I DO know you in real life and you want to keep up with the girls, you can follow my private Instagram account here: @thegoulahs. It’s pretty much all baby photos all the time. For non-baby photos, you can always follow my public Instagram here: @katiejanegoulah.)
