Photography is my superpower. I fell in love with photography as a teenager, and I’ve been shooting professionally since 2008. When I’m behind my camera, I feel like I am capable of anything.
I am a nomad at heart, who travels the world as much as possible. I have lived all over the U.S. and had a brief stint in Ireland as well. I’ve been in New York City since 2006, and I don’t plan on permanently leaving ever again. It’s the first place that has ever felt like home for me.
My favorite city to visit is Rome. It is magical. I dream about becoming fluent in Italian.
I met my husband, John, at an 80’s theme party in the summer of 2005. I was wearing my sunglasses at night – as you do – and he had on a bright blue track suit. He came over and plucked my sunglasses off my head, and the rest is history. We got married at South Street Seaport in 2010. He has been my biggest cheerleader since I began this photography endeavor, and I am so grateful to have had his unwavering support.
We have identical twin daughters – Vivienne & Beatrice – who were born on Halloween of 2014. They were the biggest/scariest/BEST surprise of my life.
We also have two cats: Boo Radley & Olive. Before I became a photographer, I worked at the Humane Society. We adopted them from Animal Control, and I’m a big proponent of adopting shelter animals.
I love to laugh, and I love working with couples that love to laugh too. I will do whatever I can to make sure we’re all having fun and capturing something spectacular at the same time. Give me some delicious, golden light and two people crazy in love, and I will make some magic happen.
